    What’s included in each bundle?
    Each bundle is a fixed set, ready to use out of the box:

    Calendar 2 & Buddy — a 15" Skylight Calendar 2 in Classic White, plus one Buddy. For single-children households new to Skylight Calendar.

    Calendar 2 & Two Buddies — a 15" Skylight Calendar 2 in Classic White, plus two Buddies. A central hub for the whole family, and Buddies for two kiddos.

    Calendar Max & Two Buddies — a 27" Skylight Calendar Max in Classic White, plus two Buddies. Maximum visibility: our largest Calendar, plus Buddies for two kiddos.

    Each bundle can be purchased with or without a Plus subscription. Plus adds bonus features across every device in your home, and you only need one subscription per household.
    Can I choose my Calendar’s frame style or color?
    Not in a bundle. Both the Calendar 2 and the Calendar Max come in the Classic White frame. Snap Frames are removable and magnetic, so if you want a different look later you can buy a Wood, Shadow Box, or different-color frame separately and swap it yourself in seconds.
    Are Buddy cases included in the bundle?
    No. Buddy cases are sold separately. You’ll have the option to add one (or more) when checking out.
    Does one subscription cover the Calendar and all the Buddies?
    Yes. One Plus subscription covers every Skylight Calendar and Buddy in your household. You’re not paying per device. Calendar Plus includes all Buddy Plus features. Your first month is free, then Plus is $79 a year.
    I already have Calendar Plus. Which version should I buy?
    The bundles with Plus are for new subscribers only, so choose the “Purchase without Plus” option. Your existing Calendar Plus subscription already covers every device in the bundle, including Buddy, at no extra charge. You’ll still get the bundle discount on the devices.
    Can I return just part of a bundle?
    Yes. Every Skylight purchase is covered by our 4-month free return window, and that includes bundles. If you want to return part of your bundle order, contact our support team and they’ll sort out the partial refund.

    What’s the difference between Calendar Max and Calendar 2?
    Size and placement. Calendar 2 has a 15" screen and can sit on a counter using its adjustable stand or hang on a wall. Calendar Max has a 27" screen and is designed for wall mounting only. Both include the same Skylight software, so you’ll get all the same features regardless of the size you purchase.
    How do I install Calendar Max?
    Installing Calendar Max is easy! It comes with a wall mount and all necessary hardware. For detailed instructions, check out the Skylight Calendar Max Installation Guide.
    Can Calendar Max be installed in portrait or landscape orientation?
    Yes, either orientation.
    What calendars can I sync with Skylight?
    Skylight Calendar currently supports syncing with Google, Apple, Outlook, Yahoo, Cozi, and Readdle Calendars, as well as any calendar with a public sharing link. You can sync calendars using our mobile app or online Skylight Cloud (i.e. app.ourskylight.com).
    Can multiple family members use the same digital Calendar?
    Absolutely! Skylight Calendar is a central hub for family members under one roof to interact with. The mobile app allows parents to update information or check dates from anywhere in real time.

    Multiple households can also share the same information across two or more devices with Device Linking.
    Does Skylight support chore charts and lists for multiple people?
    Yes, with Skylight Calendar you can create chores for multiple people and have as many different kinds of lists as you'd like! A grocery list will be created by default.
    Does Skylight Calendar run on battery power?
    No. Skylight Calendar needs to be plugged in to an electrical outlet to work.

    Buddy

    Do I need one Buddy per child?
    Yes. Buddy is designed for one child per device. Each Buddy is linked to one child's profile, Routines, Rewards, wake-up settings, and preferences, creating a strong sense of ownership and independence. Kids can make it their own with a custom avatar and a silicone case in a color they love. The moment you add multiple kids to one device, the simplicity that makes Buddy work goes away.
    What age is Buddy designed for?
    Buddy works best for children building independence — typically ages 4–10. Older kids may still benefit, especially if they like tracking daily to-dos and rewards.
    Do I need a Skylight Calendar to use Buddy?
    Nope. Buddy is a complete device on its own. Routines, chores, wake-up alarms, and all core features work right out of the box, no Calendar required. Already have a Skylight Calendar? Even better. Buddy connects to the same app, and your child's profile, photo, tasks, and rewards sync over automatically so setup takes seconds.
    What’s the difference between Skylight Buddy and Skylight Calendar?
    Skylight Buddy was designed specifically for kids to help them navigate their daily chores and routines. Skylight Calendar keeps the whole family on track. It's a central hub with color-coded family schedules, lists, meal plans, and more.
    Will my calendar events appear on Buddy?
    Yes. Buddy can show calendar events when your Skylight Calendar or any calendar app is synced. That day's events appear on Buddy's home screen, and you can tap them for a simple, kid-friendly view with the event name, time, and description. You can add an emoji to an event in the app, and it will appear on Buddy so even the littlest members of your family can recognize what's coming up.
    How durable is Buddy, and is it safe for a kid’s bedroom?
    Buddy was built for kids. It has a sturdy build that handles everyday bumps, knocks, and enthusiastic use, and a silicone case adds extra protection if you want it. There’s no camera and no microphone, and Skylight protects your family’s information under strict data privacy guidelines. At bedtime the screen either turns off or switches to a dim clock screensaver, so it won’t light up the room.
    Can Buddy be wall mounted?
    Buddy cannot be wall mounted. It is designed to sit on a surface like a nightstand or a desk.
    Can the screen turn off at night?
    Yes! Buddy's screen can either turn off at night or transition to a clock screensaver.
    Does the Messages feature let my child communicate with anyone they want to?
    No. Messages are one-way: they can only be sent from your Skylight app to your child's Buddy — never the other way around. Buddy has no keyboard for typing a reply, so your child can't respond to a Message or send one themselves. Only accounts linked to your Buddy device can send Messages, so your child is never exposed to messages from anyone outside your household's linked accounts. You can also record a Message in your own voice — Buddy plays the audio, and it's auto-transcribed so the words also appear as text on screen.

    Do my Skylight devices need WiFi?
    Yes, Skylight Calendar needs a WiFi connection at all times to operate.
    Can anyone access the internet, social media, or other apps on a Skylight device?
    No. Skylight devices are purpose-built for family organization, not general tablets. There’s no web browser, YouTube, or social media, and no way to download apps on either the Calendar or Buddy.
    Do I manage everything from one app?
    Yes. Your Calendar and every Buddy in your home are set up and managed through the same free Skylight app, under one account. Add an event, assign a chore, or update a routine once, and it appears everywhere it should.
    What is your refund and replacement policy?
    If you purchased a product through myskylight.com, you can return it for a full refund within 4 months of purchase. In addition, your Calendar is covered by the Skylight Promise — you can learn more about that here.
